Title: Msn messenger conversations
Post by: mattyd on October 11, 2006, 11:22:29 AM
Without going into to much detail just over a month ago I was involved in a car crash, the consequence of which is legal action (as i take it many of you will understand)

My question is this,

Does msn messenger store a hidden log of conversations after they are closed, as a conversation I had on msn a few days after the accident would be very valuable in court if i can find a way to retrieve it.

many thanks in advance

Matt

Not unless you have set the program to do so. All instant messages are stored in RAM if not saved to a log (Must be set by the user) RAM is volatile, which means that once it's powered off, it forgets evertyhing and it can't be retrieved.

So you're out of luck unless you activated the log option. But perhaps the person you were speaking to has done so and you could ask them for the conversation log?
