I've just got myself a g-mail account but I seem to have problems loading it with firefox.
I can view my messages with basic html view but it won't load with the standard it says:
Loading...
This seems to be taking longer than usual.
If you are using a slow Internet connection, you can wait a bit longer for this page to finish loading, or just use basic HTML view for now.
If you are using your normal Internet connection and you usually get past this loading step without any problems, please refresh this page in your browser. If you continue to have trouble loading your account, please visit the help center for troubleshooting information.
It loads normally with Internet Explorer but I don't really want to use IE, does anybody have any suggestions???

I see that "Gmail is in a limited test period and is only available to a small number of people who are helping test and improve the service before it is made more widely available."
So, I'd think it's no surprise that some problems with it may be encountered. Why don't you report the problem to Google? That's generally the reason for making beta versions available to the public; it's a way for the developer to have end users try the software and submit feedback to the developer.

as far as i know javascript is activated, it doesn't prompt me

As you use it more it will load faster thru FireFox...
I just run it thru TBird I don't want or need to see my mail thru their portal.

Yes I have noscript activated but I have allowed the page.

I currently use Tbird with my aol accounts. I tried to do the settings to add my gmail account but it won't work.

Yes I have noscript activated but I have allowed the page.
Did you deny the cookie?

Thinking is not enough, you're going to have to know. :)
If the cookie isn't blocked, empty the cache, history and the like (CTR + SHIFT + DEL) and reconnect to Gmail.com

I removed all temporary internet files and now it works......thing is i did that before and it still didnt work but it seems to be working now.

Yes I did follow the instructions given in gmail but it doesn't work, I'm not sure if this is because of my aol accounts. I want to be able to use my aol accounts and gmail through Tbird. This is possible right?

Should be.
Post screenshots of how you configured Thunderbird.
I also use Gmail with Thunderbird.

i figured it out now. I didn't enable POP email in Gmail........duh!!!

BTW which ver. of TBird are you running ? ? There have been some updates lately so just clik the throbber below the close box upper right hand corner and it will take you to Mozilla...
