Title: Sound Problem
Post by: Eggshmeg on October 21, 2006, 11:02:42 PM
Hey, I have a problem for you guys here. Everytime I play a song (Mp3 format) after a little while the song will fast forward and sound "bubbly". I think it might be the soundcard. I don't know if any of you guys have had this problem before but help would be appreciated. I've tried reinstalling the drivers with no luck. It also happens when I watch videos so I'm getting pretty fed up.  >:(

Hi Eggshmeg, welcome to Computer Hope.

What player(s) are you using? More information about your OS and soundcard would also be nice.

Thanks, Well it happens on every player I run. I usually use Winamp but it also happens on Realplayer which I use for DVD's and on windows media player. This computer is new to me but I'm pretty sure It's running a SoundMAX integrated digital audio card. I hope that helps. :D

Is the computer new or used?  How old is it?  Have you had this problem ever since you've owned it?

You've got to be kidding right? With no info about the system, operating system, etc. you are calling for guesswork.

If you don't know what is in your computer, do yourself a favor and find out. Download and run Everest Home, make a report, print it and post the results here.

Alright, I downloaded everest and ran a report. It confirmed that I am running SoundMAX. What else do you want to see about it. It's kinda long so I don't wanna copy and paste the whole thing. Just tell me what you want to see from it. Thanks.

Yes, I don't think it identifies SoundMax without a specific audio chip.  ;)

Or just submit it to us in dribbles of info as everyone else is prone to do...

One line at a time should be sufficient...

Until someone gets annoyed, says This is like pulling teeth and suddenly all child hood memories of being bullied at school come-a-running and the tears and information start flowing!
