Last week I posted about having a DirectX problem. What I have installed is DirectX 9.0a and I have been trying to install 9.0c. I have been unable to install the new version because I have a corruput file in 9.0a file ( dpnsvr.exe).
One of the responses I recieved suggested that I delete DirectX using "DirectX Happy Uninstall 3.88." My question is how many have used this product and is it really safe for a novice like me to use it?
Thanks All

Don't you mean DirectX Eradicator (http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=509)? ;)
(btw I've used it before on both Win2000 and WinXP machines without problems)
