Can you use a vga m/f cable on a monitor that has the cord hanging from it, to then, plug a m vga plug into the f end of the vga m/f cable (such as a xbox 360 vga cable)?

so it would look like this:

I can't see anything there...although they haven't shipped my 21" monitor yet...

52cards - are you sure you've got the full deck :-?  Is this (http://www-cs-students.stanford.edu/~eliang/cards/pickup.html) what we're looking for :-?

But YES, the idea will work.  It's not very difficult to get no, or blank, output on a monitor.

Why not just purchase a gender changer made specifically for the purpose.

never mind, now i understand it will work to just purchase a gender changer.
