And the incoming mail receiver has changed to 127.0.0.1,how can this be?

1. Discussion - SpamKiller Configures E-mail Servers.
You may notice that your e-mail server is set to 127.0.0.1 after you enable McAfee SpamKiller.
McAfee filters POP3 e-mail traffic through SpamKiller in order to filter out spam email. When you enable McAfee SpamKiller, the software changes the POP3 server address in Outlook and Outlook Express to the loopback IP address (127.0.0.1). The address of your server is stored in the SpamKiller section of the McAfee application under E-mail Account.
BTW, you only need one antivirus.

The set up i have above is the same one i have had for 12 months or more why should this now be a causing a problem?

Read the Spam Killer help files or better still get rid of Mcafee completely.

Hi fed
When you say
or better still get rid of Mcafee completely.
Do you not rate Mcafee,? Are you saying AVG free edition is better all round protection against viruses etc, than Mcafee?.What does everybody else use?
btw i just deleted my outlook express account from spam killer in Mcafee and it seems to be OK
thanks for your advice.

I dislike both Norton & Mcafee due to their virus-like behaviour.
I'm using AVG Antivirus & AVG Antispyware but I'll probably go back to Spybot S&D when the AVG Antispyware trial runs out.
I have run for a long time without antivirus & antispyware in the past by just having IE & Outlook Express configured safely but now I'm using A/V & A/S again to get that warm fuzzy feeling.

fed this is from the Ewido site...:
This setup contains the free as well as the paid version of AVG Anti-Spyware. After the installation, a free 30-day trial version containing all the extensions of the full version will be activated. At the end of the trial, these extensions will be deactivated and the program will turn into a feature-limited freeware version. The purchased license code can be entered at any time.

Thanks Patio, I think the extension that stops operating after 30 days is the real time protection

Yep that's the one...i have it dis-abled anyways.
