Title: Stereo microphone for computer

I am brand new to this and know nothing.  I need a microphone for voice over on video.  Do I need a stereo microphone?  The microphone on my video camera is stereo and I have stereo speakers on my computer so, I thought maybe I need a stereo microphone.  I don't even know if there are stereo microphones for desk top computers.  So, that's it.  Help please.

Well, apparently there are stereo headphones.  Here's one source that appeared in a Google search: http://www.zzounds.com/cat--Stereo-Microphones--2845; the ones on this site are quite expensive.  I did not look at other sources.  

I really don't see why you would need a stereo mic.  Unless you have some compelling reason, I think I'd save the money; a basic mic can be quite inexpensive.
