Title: Viewing available wireless networks
Post by: wildwood on December 06, 2006, 09:37:15 AM
Hi,
I recently had to reinstall windows and now everything seems to be running smoothly except for one issue. Previously if my wireless connection was not working properly I could right click the wireless icon and view all available wireless networks. If I wasnt logged onto mine I could simply move it up in order of preference. Now I can no longer see which networks are available. I have tried refreshing the network list but it does not list any as it had done before. So if for example i am logged onto another wireless it becomes difficult to choose my network from an empty list. How do I get that "available network list" back again??

It could be that since your first installation, those other networks have stopped broadcasting their SSID.  Is your own SSID hidden, do you know?

There you are then, you won't see those networks.  Everything is as it should be.  :)
