Title: Show vertical pictures correctly in slide show
Post by: paulpingpong on December 16, 2006, 12:58:12 AM
I am trying to save a big batch of jpg pictures from my hard drive to CD or DVD. Anyone has to good way to save them so that they can be shown on any DVD player as a slide show.  Right now I can see them in a slide show on the computer using Irfan View.  But the vertical ones (portraits) are sideways.  What is the fix for that?

You need to rotate the pictures using an image program and then save them with a new file name...

IrfranView is a very good free solution...

As to creating a slideshow there are also freeware solutions out there as well...visit majorgeeks and hunt around.

I know my window XP has this Windows Picture & Fax viewer that can rotate pictures and save it automatically. I cannot find it in the start menu. How do you launch it?

Are your photos in the My Pictures folder?  If so, just open it and double click on a photo to open Windows Picture and Fax Viewer.  You also rotate the photos within My Pictures, without opening Windows Picture and Fax Viewer.
