Title: Power settings are reset

He can login to several (more than 5) 17 cons system and change the power settings to Home/Office Desk and click apply but when he comes back in the morning the settings revert to Portable Laptop and the systems go into stand by after 20 minutes of non-use.

Try again and post a LOT more information about the machine make and model, age, operating system and service pack, what happened before this and what you have tried so far. Some punctuation and complete sentences make your post more readable and increase the chance of someone replying as well.  ;)
