You can disable the VPU recover by right clicking on your Desktop - Properties - Settings (tab) - Advanced - VPU Recover (Tab)

Raptor
i did that = but then i need to boot my computer when the problem comes !
its make me realy mad @@@
do i need to upgrade my BIOS ?
i look at the Asus site but i don't know what FILE to choose.
OR throw (like we love to say) and put an older grafic card that didn't make me that problems AND notify my
friends NOT TO BUY ATI cards ANYMORE ????
-
And invoke eternal damnation upon your friends by having them buy NVIDIA cards? :-X
I suggest you contact ATI technical support before giving up just yet.

Nvidia video cards may have other problems.
Have you downloaded the correct drivers for your videocard?
Did you properly uninstall the previous drivers and follow the extract instructions on how to install updated drivers?
What game does this apply to?
VPU Recover White paper (http://www.ati.com/products/catalyst/VPU_OVERVIEW.pdf)
Connecting a secondary CRT and enabling VPU Recover results in the Operating System failing to restore itself (http://www.ati.com/support/infobase/4531.html)
Psychotoxic: Starting a new game may result in the game failing to load or producing a VPU recover error (http://www.ati.com/support/infobase/4618.html)
Call of Duty: system hangs or VPU recover error messages playing game (http://mirror.ati.com/support/infobase/4291.html)
Their search engine is a bit pap, but these articles came up.

You can always upgrade your BIOS if you wish.
Computer Bios information and help (http://www.computerhope.com/help/bios.htm)
I donot know if it will solve your problem. It never hurts to have the latest BIOS version installed, though.
