alright...my problem is that i was having minor problems with my computer and someone suggested running a system restore...except it totally screwed up my computer...after rebooting my system and running my OS(windows xp home edition) the screen was all black except for the mouse cursor...which acted normal...i don't know what is wrong with it now but i am using Windows 2000 right now to try and seek online help....someone PLEASE help me...

a virus in system restore may have caused this problem...boot up pc and keep tapping the f8 key<safe mode> and chose the last good config...and scan for worms/trojans....etc disable system restore and then scan for bugs...
