Title: CAN'T INSTALL ANYTHING-DRIVING ME NUTS

Hey guys.  For about two months now, I haven't been able to open any executable files (*.exe) and it's been driving me nuts.  It all started, I think, because of an upgrade I tried to use for AIM.  I clicked the download file, downloaded, then clicked on the icon to install it.  Nothing.  And it's the same for every installation file now, even older versions of AIM or even completely different programs like mIRC.  Thanks if you can help.
