Title: Smart card lock out

Hi
Somehow my smart card got activated and now my computer on startup has locked me out and does not recognize my passwords. When I get to the welcome screen it just says Wrong password" How can I deactivate the smart card?

Can you boot into Safe Mode without the SC / contacted the SC manufacturer for advice / found out how it got activated?
