Running Windows XP Home. While I was moving files across a partition, Windows froze. After turning the computer off, then back on, I ran into a problem. I selected to start Windows normally. It went to the Windows XP loading screen, but immediately flashed to a blue screen that looked like an error message. It was too fast for me to see. It went back to the POST. I tried selecting all the different boot options, but they all resulted in the same thing. Is there any way to get things working again without wiping the disk?

Boot from the Windows CDROM and choose the option to repair.

Have you tried choosing the last known good configuration from the F8 menu?
