Title: how do i use remote desktop!

i need help on using remote desktop please ive tried bbut i can't seem to do it right i alwsys get a annoying error message. n e ways i need to connect to my labtop to work from my desktop computer at home my labtop is on a server at work if that helps but if anyone out there is good at it i will really appreciate it i can do alot of work to catch up at home b4 heading to work.
