Title: power switch
Post by: JHADD on April 02, 2007, 04:20:56 PM
on a friends computer ( packard bell) he as to press the power switch several times to get it to power on sometimes he will leave it after several attempts then it will power up on its own and when he shuts the computer down it powers up again after several minutes is there any way i can by pass the power switch to determine wether its a faulty power switch.
if the problem is the power switch is it possible to replace the switch.
The computer uses WinXP o/s and is a celeron processor thats all the info i have on the computer.
thanks jhadd

Not much info to go by, but being a Packard Bell and ancient...maybe time to upgrade?

Here's a PSU-Switch for sale I found on rbay...maybe it'll work.
