Maybe you have reached the maximum amount of RAM that can be installed. Maybe you bought the wrong type of RAM.
Additional information on computer POST / Beep Codes. (http://www.computerhope.com/beep.htm) Beep explanation
I don't know why you're looking at the videocard if the problem started when you inserted RAM...

how can i check if ive reached the maximum amount of RAM that can be installed. i bought a ddr ram and i have a ddr slot in my motherboard...
-
Refer to your manual....
Did you take the proper precautions when handling the RAM?
-
Anthony Getuaban...well ram sometimes can be a problem......Your motherboard is the determining factor as to what kind and how much Ram you can install...So if you could let us know what the make and model of motherboard . Something else that would be helpful would be to tell us exactly what type of ram that was installed and working......just saying for example 512 ddr isnt good enough .....the speed is required as well .
please let us know and I'm sure some one here will solve your problem ASAP.

You will really have to obtain specifications of your motherboard before you can continue.
Look for a name/number printed on the circuit board and Google (http://www.google.com) for it.

You will have to look for a name on the motherboard. It is most likely printed near the PCI slots.

I told you to obtain the motherboard manual from the VIA website. If you're not going to listen, I won't bother posting.
