Title: disc wont work needs sound card??

I have installed an atlas disc that is xp compatible and it gives me this error message-----The sound software is not installed properly or has been disabled.  For more information see the README file installed with this program. This title will now terminate. ---
I cannot open the readme file either.     I am running xp service pack 2.
have 512mb. all audio cds work and I get sound with everything else. all help appreciated. thanks

No need to double post.  Since you've already received a reply to your other post, at http://www.computerhope.com/forum/index.php/topic,34206.0.html, I suggest further replies be posted there. 

Double posting a topic makes following a topic more difficult for forum visiters.

No problem.  If you're not sure, just make your best guess.  If a forum moderator sees it and feels it belongs in another section, they can move it there.
