Title: BSOD shortly after logon
Post by: Benjorama on May 10, 2007, 01:39:19 PM
Whenever I try to log onto my laptop, I get a BSOD a few seconds after I login.

Here is what it says

stop: 0x0000008E (0xc0000005, 0xF685A56D, 0xF1753A20, 0x00000000)

7(or a backward and upsidedown "L"?)zx32.sys   Adress F685A56D    Base at F6858000

Date stamp 463210ca

Any help would be awesome, because I have no idea what to do.

What operating system are you using?
Do you have AntiVirus installed and running?
What about antispyware/adware?

What happened prior to this incident?

I use windows xp

I don't have any AntiVirus installed

I have Ad-aware on my computer, but thats it.

The last thing I remember downloading was the Last.fm audioscrobbler.  Thats all I have to go on.

avg anti-spyware
superantispyware
spybot search and destroy
Ccleaner (without the yahoo toolbar)

This is usually a hardware conflict or a driver issue...

Have a Read (http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-gb/library/ms794023.aspx)

And by all means get some protection programs installed on that beast.
