Title: CD ROM drives stopped functioning...

My Cd rom drives recently stopped working properly, they still open and close, but the computer does not show them as being there, also i noticed that when i close the CD tray the green light blinks on and of like 5 times in a half second intervuls... it is all hooked up and i dont know why they just stopped working.

any help would be wonderful

sounds like the cables not properly connected.
