Is the a real simple way to Let Linux on a Windows LAN ? Please don't make it hard!   :'(

Literally, you can put a linux a machine on the same LAN as a windows machine and they will both be able to connect to the internet (but wont necessarily talk to each other).

However, I don't think that's what you mean. I'm guessing you want to know if you can share stuff between them on the network neighbourhood. In which case the answer is to configure Samba on the linux machine (most of them have it installed).

Also make sure you set smbpasswd on your Linux box.
