To help you, please answer the follwing questions:
What OS are you using (e.g. Windows XP Professional)

Have you installed anything the night before?

Could be an infection. What protection is on this computer?
Any chance of us getting a screenshot?

Probably some sort of stubborn downloader/dialer. Update AVG and scan with it (preferrably in Safe Mode). Then download HijackThis (http://merijn.org/files/HijackThis.exe), scan with it, and post the log here. Be sure to post the entire log, even if it takes a couple of posts.

its ok but back to the task.. what protections do you have??
anti-virus, antispyware programs ??

just a question...how,if there was a virus, would he get rid of it? what would it involve?
-
run scans. maybe having to use specialty tools depending on the infection
look at my signature and get the programs you dont have and scan in safe mode ( look at my signature also)

That's what I'll tell you when I have the proper information. Just follow all of my instructions (starting with a scan and a HijackThis log) and I'll do my best to guide you. With any luck, it won't be too bad of an infection.

AVg Anti-Spyware is designed to handle most trojans...and it's also Free...
