Did you develop the site on your home computer?

All the files have been uploaded to a folder with my host. All the files are there and the domain pointing says its working.

Now it gets more strange....

This morning I typed in my web site address and the Joomla install page was there, I just got in from work and its gone back to my old web site.

it can take up to a couple days for a new (or moved) website to propagate on the internet. If you moved it today or yesterday, give it another try tonight or tomorrow.

But, that doesn't explain the differences between viewing the site at work and at home, as he mentioned in the first post.

sure it does. If there using different a different isp, the 'home' isp could still be routing them to the old site.

I guess it's also a possibility that the 'home' isp caches pages for faster browsing and hasn't updated that site yet in their cache. I helped do a site for a church once, and when we moved the site from their isp's server to another, people using that isp only saw the old site. We eventually had to call the isp to tell them to fix it.
