I don't know about a free version of Microsoft Word, but there is a free complete office suite called OpenOffice (http://www.openoffice.org/) that is very similar (just not from Microsoft).

Or, if you just want a word processor, try AbiWord (http://www.abisource.com).

Oh, and winnipegtwister, I suggest checking out AbiWord.  It just might suit your needs.

Just seemed a bit hokey to me, so I wasn't sure if it was serious or not.

Yes it is serious. It's supported by Living Waters (http://www.livingwaters.com). Did you read what it said afterwards?

NOOO!
It's says I'm going to *censored*, but (not to offend anyone here) I'm aethiest, so I don't care that much.

Back on topic... should Microsoft have free versions of older versions of Word somewhere?

Personally, I prefer OpenOffice to MS Office any day, I intensely dislike MS Office.

I've read somewhere that Google also had a free office but I'm still searching for it.
Does some one know if there is one and so: Where?

Jonas ;)

Anyways, what makes you think the answer it gave is wrong?

It's says I'm going to h**l, but (not to offend anyone here) I'm aethiest, so I don't care that much.

lol, why would I be offended?

Okay, I know this may be going off topic again, but is there any way to select multiple images in OpenOffice at the same time? I tried using Shift like in MS Office, but it didn't work.

It has nothing to do with the answer.  If I believed in *censored*, I would surely agree that I'm going.  Of course, I would agree that most people are going...but that's beside the point.  I just wasn't sure if it was a joke site or not; kinda like the How To Tell If Your Teenager Is An Atheist site (anyone have a link?).  But I see that's not the case here, so I apologize.

That's fine. I didn't think that anyone would get that impression, lol.  :P

You cannot legally download a copy of Microsoft Word, except for an old DOS version. Period.
