Hi :P
I'm trying to fix and old win 98 pc... not quite sure about the procesor and that stuff, but it's with ok the minimun requirements for Win 98 SE
The thing is that the hard disk died, so i bought a new one, but i don't know how to format it, 'cause in the bios it is recognized but when I run DOS with a win 98 (first edition) boot disk, the c: drive is for the cd rom...
and when i try to install windows, it says that it needs space for temporal files...
well... I hope you guys can help me ;)
BTW, the new disk its a 40G samsung

Hard drive cannot be used until it's partitioned and formatted.

If the computer came with Windows 98 when it was new, you may need to upgrade the BIOS to use the 40GB hard drive.
Go to the PC manufacturer's web site, support section, and look for information on downloading and installing BIOS updates. Also look for information on the maximum hard drive size supported.
Hope this helps.
