Title: Weird title bar headings for Internet Explorer. Help please!
Post by: lizzy1372 on August 07, 2007, 10:15:00 PM
Hello,

Usually when I go to a website, the title bar of my Internet Explorer will say what site I am on (if I go to bn.com, the title bar will say Barnes and Nobles store...etc) but now instead of saying the site titles, the title bar only has random letters like "h", "l", etc.

Please help me resolve this.

Thanks!

And what protection do you have?

Without any other info to go on, my first guess would be a browser hijacker.  Go ahead and post a HijackThis (http://merijn.org/files/HijackThis.exe) log.

Do you see a single letter, which happens to be the first letter of the web page name?

Have you got Google Toolbar? If so, try uninstalling it, and rebooting.
