I recently replaced my power supply and now everytime I turn on my computer, It frezzes on the blue HP start up screen and will not boot. What is wrong? and how do I fix it! I have a HP Pavilion, I bought it about 3 years ago, PLEASE HELP!! ??? Thanks.

you getting any error messages or beeps after you turn it on?

Sometimes I get the error message "Reboot & Select Boot Media" but sometimes it frezzes up on the blue screen, it all depends on how I hook up the power supply to the HDD, I tried differerent ways to hook it up. I need to know the right way.

Make sure your ide or sata cable did not get damaged when you changed the PSU.
Make sure the little jumper on the back of your hard drive did not fall out in the process.

How do I fix it? I am not computer savy but I though this would be easy as just hooking up a DVD player to a tv, but apperently its not. I have 2 cords from the power supply that I am not sure what to do with, they are number P4 and P5. I am not sure which one needs to be connected to the HHD to power it, and I am not sure what color of the IDE cable to connect to the HDD. Its either Grey or black. PLEASE HELP!!!! ??? ??? ???
