Hi, I am going to upgrade my brother's Hard Drive from a IDE Hard Drive to a SATA Hard Drive, I want to get rid of the IDEO hard drive, so how do I move all the data from the IDE hard drive to the new SATA hard drive? And if possible, if anyone is going to suggest a program to do so, can you make sure it's free? (not a cheap person just a money problem, I got no job)

Ok, no need a software or program.
1st,did the mobo support sata?
if yes, just make the ide as a slave.
transfer your files from the IDE to the SATA.

This method may not work...you should leave the IDE hooked up as is and boot with the SATA drive's CD utilities it shipped with and "clone" the IDE to the SATA drive...if you didn't get a CD DLoad the utilities from the SATA drive manuf. site...
After doing so remove the IDE drive and boot to the SATA a few times to make sure all is good...
Then jumper the IDE as slave, wipe it and use it for storage,

The instructions you linked are for preparing a new IDE drive that is going to have an Operating System installed on it...
For any drive whether IDE or SATA you cannot simply transfer or copy an OS and programs to another drive...it will not work.
