Title: Unwanted website listings
Post by: motrak on October 02, 2007, 05:36:00 PM
Hey Folks,

Maybe I can get some help here. My son came to me with a problem a while ago. My son loves porn sites. He asked me if I know a way to delete the temporary internet files. I told him to open up the internet and open up tools. Click on internet options and delete the temporary internet files and cookies.

His girlfriend came home that night and did something on the computer and noticed that he has been to some porn sites. (He is now in trouble)

I am wondering how did she find those when I had him delete the temporary internet files and cookies? I am puzzled.

Can someone explain to me how she found out about the sites?

Thanks,
Jeff

You may have cleaned up the temporary internet files, but you neglected to mention History of visited web pages.  If you didn't clear the History...there are still tracks to sites he has visited.

In addition to Saviour's good advice. 'As always'.

You could download CCleaner.

I use a program I bought by WebRoot called Window Washer.

It is also a good idea for him to not go there if his girlfriend would
be hurt,or offended.

You should also tell him to disable AutoComplete.
IE>Tools>Internet Options>Content>AutoComplete>Uncheck all boxes

The best way for him to cover his tracks is to not do it.
