Title: unable to attach files to emails

At the moment I am unable to attach files (photos in my case) to my emails. I could do this but all of a sudden I can't. What happens is that when I go to 'browse' after I have selected 'attach files' when I have drafted an email the folder opens up and a few seconds later it and my internet browser closes down!!!
I am using XP Professional edition. can anyone give a clue as what I should do to solve this problem.

You may have some infection on your computer.
How is your AV/spyware check? Up to date?
