Title: internet explorer 7 closes
Post by: valanne00 on November 07, 2007, 06:37:42 AM
My pc has been fine, till the other day.  I try to log on to Internet Explorer 7, and it starts to load up, then it goes away.  I can log into the internet with foxfire, and I uninstalled and reinstalled IE 7, but the problem remains.  Any suggestions?  I am running XP pro.  Thanks for your help.

There were some issues with IE7 but that was awhile back...try DLoading and installing a fresh copy.

I did that and still the same thing.  Before I can do anything on the page, it disappears.  So frustrating.  But at least I have foxfire to get online with.  But I really want to clear this problem with IE up.  Any other suggestions?  thanks

I assume, Firefox works fine, and you're on Windows XP?
How is your antivirus, antispyware check?
Windows Updates current?

Do you have a MS XP CD ? ?
If so go to Start/Run and type in sfc /scannow and hit Enter...
Have the CD handy as it will ask for it.
Let it run to completion and re-boot.
Then try the IE7 install again.
