Hi All... I have a huge problem with my comp... I am using Windows XP media center edition and I just bought a Graphic card ati radeon 2400 pro... Everything is fine except my audio.. I have 5.1 Speakers and they worked fine before but now no sound is coming out. in my audio properties it say ATI HD audio rear out and I can not select anything else because my realtek option is gone... I tried installing it again from their website but it still did not show up... My graphic card has HDMI connection on which I think am supposed to connect speakers but my speakers use regular jacks to connect... Any help would be great... Thanx

HDMI (digital) jacks are for connecting your video card to home theater system.
Check your card manual. Maybe something has to be disabled in order to have your Realtek sound working.

I don't know the answer to your problem just now ! but...it seems you have a driver issue*

Yeah manual would be nice but did not come with the video card it only came eith two crappy sheets of paper which dont have anything useful on it... I tried disabeling na ATI audio in device menager but nothing helped... Is there any wat to get something like conversion from regular jacks to HDMI (maybe stupid question)...

Use System Restore from before your Radeon installation, and see, if your sound is back.

Tried it it say that my computer cant be restored to that date :(

Another thing to try...Go to Device Manager, and uninstall your new video card. Turn off your computer, physically remove your Radeon, and restart.

Well got tired of fixing it without any success so I went to the store and bought new sound card and now everything works but thank you guys for your help.....
