Post by: KBlack2595 on December 17, 2007, 12:36:29 PM
What happen is i was cleaning out all the dust from the inside of my computer. And i took some of the things out like the the memory and 3 or 4 of the ports in the back one which is my display. And when i turn it one it say es. I think this it was it Sayers can't remember not at home right now no input signal with a floating box a green line around it. And a 3 colors under it I think red green and blue can't remember it has done this before when playing certain games. And usually could fix it but can't remember if it did it the first time I used the monotor please. Help me fix this I have took the card back out and put it back in many times made sure it was connected correctly. And cant get it to work please any help would do I can't really afford to buy a new one but it may be time to if that's the case.

...that's the corrected version?

I'm still not clear on what you're saying. The attitude doesn't make it clearer either. Chill out, go back, rewrite, and try to be a little clearer.

What you can do is take your v.card out and test it on a different machine (friend) the monitor may be faulty also i guess you would want to test it with your friends pc. By doing that you would know which one to replace either the monitor or the v.card.

Next time you post a thread think before you write just to get the right help since you gramma is out of order.

It just might be the moniter itself because from what I'm hearing your moniter seems like its pretty old. Its not a flat screen is it??? I know a moniter that does the exact same thing with the Red, Green, and Blue boxes that come up at my school. We use them to do graphic arts and other stuff. They're pretty crappy, but back to the point.

Its probably the moniter, and the video card should be fine. Your moniter is probably too old just go buy a new one. A flat LCD screen is a great deal.
* Takes less electricity to run a flat screen

*Visually it looks better.

Here are some good deals. I personally like Fry's but if you can't find it here are some Newegg Moniters too.

note ACER is not my favorite. I've heard a lot of bad rumors about ACER computer parts so ya, but this one's real cheap, and its LCD so your choice.

Samsung is one of my personal favorites. They always seem to give quality products, but this is a bit pricey. If your got the money though this is worth it.
