Title: Possible Software Problem
Post by: AussieDingo on December 30, 2007, 06:37:35 PM
Dear All

I am having trouble with my Windows XP as i can not get it to run correctly, when i first load windows some times i get a blue screen flash up and then the PC reboots and this can happen a couple of time before windows becomes stable.

I have a 300gig hard drive and was wondering if the hard drive is faulty or taxing on my system.

I have re-installed the Windows XP with the recovery disks and the problem is still the same and this is the first time upon re installation this has happened, i hope that i can get some help or i might have to go Vista

My system

Sempron PC3200 1.8Mhz
300 Gig Hard drive
2 Gig Ram
8600Gt 512ram
Windows XP

Any help would be much appreciated

Did you remember to re-install the MBoard drivers after re-installing XP ? ?
This may be the source of the BSOD's...

Posting BSOD error message may help, as well.
