After weeks of frustration from programs crashing, runtime errors, etc., I have decided to reinstall my XP sp2, from drive D on my HP Desktop; another option is to buy Vista. MS said my computer would run Vista Home Premium.
I would like to hear some opinions from those who have experience in this.
Windows XP, SP2, 200 GB hard drive 1.5gb ram. HP Pavilion a1120n

What's the processor speed, and video RAM?
-
Processor is a P4 3.07 GHz. I don't know offhand how to check the video ram.
-
What does it say in Device Manager, under Display Adapters?
-
Intel 82915G/GV/910GL Express Chip Family.
I found under Adapter Ram 128. MB. would that be it?
-
This is on-board video. I'd get real video card with 512MB of RAM (256MB, if money matter is at stake), and you should be good to go for Vista.

Sounds like a plan. Thanks Broni
