Hello
Can someone please tell me how to remove the annoying 'add to windows media player' entry in the context menu?
I've deleted:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\SystemFileAssociations\audio (+ video)
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\SystemFileAssociations\Directory.Audio (+ video)
From the registry but the poxy thing's still there.
I've searched the registry (ctrl+f) for the key but it found nothing ???
Thanks...

You only missed one key.... :D
But here's an easier tool...Click (http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shexview.html)

Dude, that's not easier at all... I'm now looking through hundreds of extension names.

Right, I've disabled the WMP keys but now I've got no play either!!! even though WMP is the default app & file type association looks fine!
MAN WINDOWS IS SO DUMB SOMETIMES IT MAKES ME WANT TO WRITE IN CAPITAL LETTERS!!!!!

Sorted.
Thanks Patio, that tool will come in handy.

Yep. You're Welcome.

Quick Fix
Start > Run > regsvr32 /u wmpshell.dll
This will remove all the media player related right-click context menu options and all other WMP integration
If You Want Them Back Then
Start > Run > regsvr32 wmpshell.dll

Thanks D_H, made a note of that...
