I'll make it short n sweet. My video card is running at 127 degrees Fahrenheit. What is the acceptable temp range?

127 Fahrenheit is 52 Celsius, which we 21st century people use ;) --
I would never, ever let the 8800GT go over 75 C which is 167 F, and would not really like to see it over around 65 C in normal use, which is near enough 150 F.
Rising up to about 50-55 C or 120-130 F in normal use sounds like the cooling is working just like it should.
All your temps look fine to me.

If anyone wants a handy way to convert mentally between Celsius and Farhrenheit, it might be useful to remember that freezing to boiling (water) is 100 degrees in C and 180 degrees in F. So every 10 degrees C above zero is 18 degrees F above 32 and vice-versa.

If you are online, Google is easy.
Example: put 127F in C = in the search box and hit enter.

Google will do a LOT of conversions. The trick is getting the right syntax.

100 degrees Celsius = 212 degrees Fahrenheit

Both scales are related to everyday temperature phenomena: the freezing and boiling of water. The range is 100 degrees in the Celsius scale, and 180 in the ancient Fahrenheit scale. While the freezing point of water is set to be zero degrees in Celsius, it is 32 on the Fahrenheit scale.
1 deg C = 5/9 deg F
1 deg F = 9/5 deg C

I had found this interesting conversion program. But I lost it. It was Win32 and about 100k in size! (I didn't even know that it was possible for programs to be less than 1MB!, That is, until I wrote a text editor with nasm in only 8 bytes!!!!). Anyways, just remember the ratio and plug it into a calculator.

3 guys check into a Hotel for the night...
Sharing one room the clerk informs them it's $30.00.
So they each chip in 10 bucks and go off to the room...
The night Manager comes on duty to take over and says any business ? ?
The clerk informs him 3 guys got a room and he charged them $30.00.
The night Manager informs the clerk there's a Friday night special for $25.00 and tells the clerk to take $5.00 from the register and refund the difference...
On the way to the room the clerk thinks to himself there's no easy way for 3 guys to split $5.00 so he pockets $2.00 and knocks on the door.
They answer and he apologises for overcharging them and gives them $3.00 and says goodnite.
So they each got a buck back right ? ?
This means they each paid $9.00 for the room...
9 X 3 = $27.00...the clerk kept $2.00
$27.00 + $2.00 = $29.00..........

Yep, I agree the "30" has become irrelevant. $25 is now relevant; it's what the three guys should have spent. Isn't the basic point here to reconcile what the three guys spent and the hotel's charge? The difference between it and what they actually spent is the $2 kept by the clerk: $27-$2 = $25.

Since the clerk kept $2, each guy paid not $9, but $30-$2=$28, $28 divided by 3 is $9 1/3.

Yep, they did. The hotel got $25 of it and the clerk got $2.

Because the $30 was the wrong amount to charge under the special discounted price in effect then and they later withdrew $5 from the till.

One more time...what's irrelevant is $2, because the two dollars that the clerk gets are contained in the 27 dollars that 3 guys end up paying.

The flaw is in the phrase "plus the $2 which the waiter got." This should not be added, it should be subtracted, since the $2 the clerk got is part of the $27 dollars the three guys spent altogether. If you subtract the $2 from the $27 you get the $25 that goes into the motel till.

I brought up the topic of mental arithmetic when I said I did not need a calculator to convert degrees C to degrees F. This prompted another person to post a well known old riddle which confuses "number blind" people.
