Title: PC to HTIB

I know there are some ways to hook up my computer with a Sound Blaster X-Fi card to a Home Theater System.
The manual for the card shows that I can hook up a reciever to the optical out jack on the card, but does optical out support surround sound? I'm hooking my pc up to my 42" HDTV in the living room, and would rather have it hooked up to a HTIB, as opposed to a desktop surround sound.

Nevermind. I just found out my MoBo has a SPDIF port, (digital optical). Now I can start looking for a HTIB with this same port. ;D
