Title: Windows XP
Post by: koetie on March 17, 2008, 08:48:54 AM
I had a dual boot of XP on my computer;
 One Dutch - and the other  an English installation.
Because the Eng.inst. slowed my machine down, I removed it.
From then on the PC does not start up anymore. The message I receive says

(<Windows-hoofdmap>\systeem32\hal.dll ontbreekt of is beschadigd.)

translated it means

 < WINDOWS-MAIN PAGE>\SYSTEM32\HAL.DLL>  is missing or corrupt and has to be reinstalled.
 I tried to do so, but I do not know the correct syntax for the command;would you please help me with that?
 Thank you
