Title: Help with Directx9.0c Installation

Well since I have no working CD-Drive (http://www.computerhope.com/forum/index.php/topic,53845.0.html) I was forced to download directx9.0c. The only problem is, once I've extracted the files and run the set-up it doesn't seem to work.

I'd give more information but that's all I can see it is doing. Perhaps someone could link me to a version they know is clean (I got mine from the Microsoft site, so) or give me instructions/troubleshooting

I've download it from Microsoft and it run pretty ok,

Whatever, you could ask google (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=directx+9.0)

I'm starting to think this XP install may have issues and could be related to both problems...
What version of XP is this and what prompted a re-install ? ?
