Title: win xp & 2000

i replaced my hdd containing win xp with another containig win 2000 and it refused to load.does anyone knows why it didn't?

Well for starters are you sure that the hardware that the 2000 drive is looking for exists?  Are you sure the 2000 drive works?  There are sooo many possibilities that we just might need some more information.
