Title: Problem with tabs at bottom of Excel 2007 spreadsheet

Ever since our IT guy installed Office 2007 on our computer, if we open an older version spreadsheet at the same time our new spreadsheet done in Excel 2007 is open, when we close out of the older one the tabs at the bottom of our newer spreadsheet disappear and we have to view it as full screen, which then causes our toolbars at the top of the spreadsheet to disappear.

What can we do to keep this from happening or recover our tabs?

Have you tried opening the older version spreadsheet and saving it in Excel 2007 format?
