I saw McAfee VirusScan Plus 2008  on popvoucher (http://www.popvoucher.co.uk/cheap-mcafee-virusscan-plus-2008-pc-save-pound-17_lid-fmpqmmpc.html).Is it strong enought to keep virus out?

Why would you consider one of the heavyweight resource hogs when AVG and AVAST are available for free ???
