Re-register MsiExec[/list]No visible change will take place. Try to install/uninstall again.

If this method fails, you will need to reinstall the Microsoft Windows Installer (MSI)
 Windows Installer 1.1 (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=F1B7A5B0-611B-45A7-A06D-CADFF33E64DA&displaylang=en)
 Windows Installer 2.0 (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=cebbacd8-c094-4255-b702-de3bb768148f&displaylang=en)
Windows Installer 3.1 (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=889482fc-5f56-4a38-b838-de776fd4138c&displaylang=en)

I am pretty sure Windows Installer 3.1 covers the API included with 1.1 and 2.0, and should be the only one that you need to install.
(In my opinion, .msi is a bad idea... its not only slow, but if it gives out, you end up stuck with just about everything)

Thanks for your reply to my problem. I certain that before I made the post for help, I went to windows and installed Windows Installer. Honestly I don't remember which. So on that note I an going to try installing 3.1 and see what happens. Oh by the way when I installed whichever program I did, the same message continued to show as before. So I'll be getting back to you guys and hopefully it will be with good news.

To Be Continue! Now another problem, I hope it's in the right thread. This message is constantsly appearing when I click certain links; AOLEXPLORER.Exe---Unable to locate componet
X  This application has failed to start because  xprt6.dll  was not found. Re-installing the appl. may fix this problem.
Help please!

I ran the  sfc /scannow and nothing appeared.

What's your connection to AOL? Your ISP?
xprt6.dll is part of AOL, ICQ and AIM

Gents it's taken me a minute to respond since so much has been going on in the home front. Well the problem stemed from AOL Explorer. I uninstalled it, then did the reinstallation and all is well now.
