Title: Is there Free firewall anywhere

Does anyone know if there there is a free firewall for vista anywhere. One that wouldn't effect games so much. Thanks!!

Check out snapfiles freeware firewalls (http://www.snapfiles.com/Freeware/security/fwfirewall.html) - There are a few, including popular firewalls (Zone Alarm, Comodo, etc) with user reviews...

What Windows are you with?

BTW....Vista firewall fails most leak tests (outgoing traffic).

Windows firewall isn't bi-directional. It only blocks incoming traffic so if something is compromised there is nothing in place to stop outgoing information being sent to whoever. Microsoft confirms this here  Why would I consider a third party firewall? (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/security/learnmore/atkin_firewall.mspx#EGF)

Vista firewall restricts some outbound traffic, and some rules can be added, as described here: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/cc138010(TechNet.10).aspx
Look at What’s New in Windows Vista? paragraph.
It's still pretty lousy, though.
