Title: Acer Computer Problem (Possible Power Supply Failure?)
Post by: M1CH431 on June 19, 2008, 03:03:37 PM
Hey everyone, its been a long, long time since I've posted here. My problem is my Acer computer Which I've had since last July or August is not turning on anymore.

It powers up the fans spin. only the hard drive light turns on (The led in the power button doesnt even stay solid like it usually does) and of course nothing appears on the screen. There is a burned/smoke smell coming from the Power Supply I think but am not 100% sure, it is a cheap japanese one.

If anyone has any idea or suggestion please post I need all the help I can get   ;D.

It certainly does sound like it could be a power supply issue.

Have you tried troubleshooting it?
