Hi, am operating a compaq desktop with windows xp home sp2 and running internet explorer. most everything works until I go to a website and it has a hot link to another section to the site Ex... I am at a site for applying for a grant and it says " answer the questions in ""HOT LINK""'. when I click on the hot link, the explorer trys to download the page and then quickly stops and a message box forms in the middle. The message box is titled "AcroRd32.exe - Application Error" I think because its probably only doing this when trying to download adobe applications. The error message is "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000022). Click on OK to terminat the application." and then gives me the only option of pressing ok. What is error (0xc0000022) and how can i get rid of it and see the info I need to see.
Also I have tried rebooting and dooing a complete shut down. Thanks in advance.

try uninstalling acrobat reader, and installing the latest version. http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html (http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html)
this might help with your problem

If you can't get it to work with adobe's reader you can try foxit reader
http://www.foxitsoftware.com/
It works great and is faster than adobe. I use it without any trouble.
