Right, the first few times I tried to install, it said something about a wise.dll file that could not be extracted and it also said, CRC does not match??
It eventually got past that and started installing but would stop and say something about a bad/corrupt installation file....It then got to 97% of the installation being complete when I got the same message...I can load the game, but the soundpool and database is empty and it says ' database error: make sure it is installed properly '
can anyone help? ???
( I tried disabling my anti - virus, I heard it might sort out the problem but it didn't )

I edited my post to get rid of the word 'real' from "Did you try to re-download the real file?" ::)
Although it could just be a bad download.

How old is this software? Have you tried cleaning the CD or the optical lens of the player?
CDs will degrade after time (a long time), bit it would seem there's a problem copying the file over....which can only lead me to believe, either the disc is dirty, damaged...or the drive is dirty.

If you have the CD, try installing it on another computer and see if the process will complete. If it does, the problem is most likely your CD drive. If the same issue occurs, there's probably a problem with the CD. You'll have to contact Magix to see if you can get the disc replaced.
