Title: Wireless Problem
Post by: DonkyCong on July 11, 2008, 05:57:38 AM
Hi ComputerHope,

I recently purchased a HP Compaq N4010 laptop.
I have looked online and checked the specifications and this model should come with wireless, the laptop even has a wireless LED and button to activate it. I have installed all the wireless drivers from the HP website for my Laptop but I can not get the Wireless to work.

HP Compaq NC4010
1GB RAM
40GB HDD
Windows XP Professional

Help on how to fix this problem will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Sean.

When you go to "View Wireless Networks", does your computer detect the network at all? or is it a problem with actually connecting to a specific network?

This problem has been recified, it turns out that I have a different model (such as 4010a, instead of 4010b) and that reflects that this laptop does not have wireless inbuilt yet still has the wireless LED and activation button.

Thanks for your help,
Sean.
